A spotlight on our devoted doctors

National Doctors Day was celebrated in style at the Royal Hospital for Women, with special gifts for doctors, and free coffees for all staff.

PricewaterhouseCoopers threw its support behind the day by delivering a coffee cart to The Royal to mark the day.

The warm cups of brew were just one way of saying thank you to our health heroes for their unwavering efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Staff were all smiles as the coffee cart spread a little happiness, one cup at a time. As they savoured the moment, colleagues and friends took a moment to reflect on their extraordinary contribution over the past two years.

As a small token of appreciation, a box of chocolates and bottle of wine were also gifted to each doctor at the hospital.

“We wanted to acknowledge the dedication and expertise of our medical teams on their special day,” said Dr Wayne Hsueh, Director of Medical Services, Royal Hospital for Women.

“Our clinicians work around the clock to deliver world-class care for women and their families. We recognise and appreciate their commitment and also thank their loved ones who are patient and understanding when the clinical demands arise out of hours,” Dr Hsueh said.

"A big thank you to PricewaterhouseCoopers for supporting this important day for us – we greatly appreciate the kind gesture."
