Delivering Hope campaign celebrates women’s health

The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation launched Delivering Hope, a fundraising Giving Day appeal on Wednesday 22 November, to celebrate the hospital’s pioneering and life changing work and care in women’s and newborn health.
 
The 12-hour telethon event brought together clinicians, patients, media, ambassadors, community members and business to raise awareness and funding support for the Royal Hospital for Women.
 
Delivering Hope is being supported by the Matildas, with Charlotte Grant visiting the hospital for the morning, alongside ambassadors Sylvia Jeffreys and Alex Cullen.
 
Since 2021, Delivering Hope has raised over $500,000 for the Royal Hospital for Women, helping to fund equipment, programs, and research, including:
 
Launch of CAPA-IVM infertility treatment
A less invasive surgery option for breast cancer patients
12 PANDA resuscitation units for the NICU and birth unit
New acute care monitors for the gynaecology unit
Two cardiac monitors for the NICU
Social Work support for vulnerable and disadvantaged patients.

Elise Jennings, General Manager at the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, thanked the generosity of matched donors, as every donation received on Giving Day was doubled.
 
"Every donation will help make a difference and pave the way for healthier generations,” Elise said.
