Paediatric oncologist climbs Sydney Harbour Bridge on World Cancer Day

Taking raising awareness to new heights, Dr Antoinette Anazodo, Paediatric Oncologist, Prince of Wales Hospital, joined forces with other clinicians, scientists and cancer survivors to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge on World Cancer Day, Tuesday 4 February, 2020.

Through reaching the top of the iconic landmark, the group’s aim was to highlight the importance of research in improving the lives of those living with a cancer diagnosis.

Dr Anazodo's work is focussed on survivorship – predominantly researching the reproductive concerns of cancer patients.

“I was motivated to join the climb to increase awareness about the ongoing needs of those who have been diagnosed with cancer – this includes during and after treatment and any complications they may experience, as well as the impact on their family, friends and colleagues,” Dr Anazodo said.
