Chloe

I am a first-year Health Management Graduate with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. I have a background in Allied Health, and this program has assisted me in the transition to a career in health management.

I have found the program to provide invaluable experiences and opportunities to develop my management and leadership skills. This has included working alongside senior leaders across major hospitals in South Eastern Sydney, studying through the University of New South Wales and access to several diverse training and development opportunities. I would recommend this program for emerging leaders who are ready to take the next step towards a career in health management.

Joining the SESLHD Graduate Management Program has been the best decision of my career. The opportunities to create meaningful, authentic, and valuable relationships with senior health executives are unparalleled.

I’ve been exposed to a variety of different directorates within SESLHD, gaining insights and experiences that cannot be achieved elsewhere. At every step of the program I’ve felt supported and encouraged to develop my capacity as a future healthcare leader. Where SESLHD cares for a growing and diverse population, this enriches the Graduate Management Program. Seeing the patient as a person is at the core of SESLHD.

No other health district has the wide variety of major hospitals, community services, and prospect for personal development. Like it has for me, the SESLHD Graduate Management Program will undoubtedly advance and transform the trajectory of your career.

Steph

The Health Management Graduate Program has provided the opportunity to develop my skills as a future leader. I am currently placed with our Chief Executive, who has been incredibly supportive of my personal and professional development. He has enabled me to meet and network with our Executive leaders, be involved in projects with the Executive team, and gain a unique insight into the strategic and operational management of the District.

I highly recommend the program to anyone looking to develop the skills and personal attributes required for a career in management within the Health sector.

The graduate management program has given me a fantastic insight into the corporate and clinical operations of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. Katrina - 2021 Intake Graduate

I am a first‐year Management Graduate and so far, I have really found this program a valuable step in my career. As a public health professional, I have enjoyed learning about the different building blocks of the NSW Health system.  This has been complemented with the Master of Health Leadership and Management at the University of New South Wales.

I have appreciated being able to experience the major hospitals within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, as well as the chance to learn from a multi‐disciplinary team from nursing, medical, allied health and health service managers

I would highly recommend this program if you have an interest to learn more about health service delivery in the NSW context and for the chance to combine academic rigour with practical experience
