Nurse, Gynaecological Cancer Centre

Royal Hospital For Women

“My role is based primarily in the outpatients department and I work across a number of clinics…I am passionate about women’s health and I enjoy our patient population. I hope to make a difference by being supportive to the patients and their loved ones as they navigate the complexities of a cancer diagnosis, and work their way through treatment and all the challenges that can bring.

To me compassionate care really just means to be kind and considerate, to see the experience from the patient's point of view and involve the patient in the whole process. I guess to be as supportive and attentive as possible and also keep a level of professionalism. I think it’s important to extend that same compassion towards colleagues, as well as patients and their families.”
