The Nuclear medicine and PET/CT department has a referral criteria and referral form for our services.

The department provides services for inpatients and outpatients using the most up-to-date equipment and advanced technology, including positron emission tomography (PET). Commonly performed procedures include:
- myocardial perfusion studies
- gated cardiac blood pool scans
- renal scans
- bone scans
- gastric emptying
- lung scans, thyroid scans
- PET scans (oncology, neurology)
- radio-iodine thyroid therapy
For any other study or queries regarding the ordering of a scan appropriate for your patient's clinical condition please telephone us on 9382 2200.
Studies are usually reviewed and reported the same day they are completed. They are then immediately available on Prince of Wales Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Powerchart system.
External results are posted and faxed to the referring doctor once reported.
